Abstract: 

Anchor DMUs are a new class in the general classification of Decision Making Units (DMUs) in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). An anchor DMU in DEA is an extreme-efficient DMU that defines the transition from the efficient frontier to the free-disposability part of the boundary of the Production Possibility Set (PPS). In this paper, the anchor points of the PPS of the CCR MODEL are investigated. A basic definition of anchor point based on the supporting hyperplanes of the PPS of CCR MODEL is provided. Then, by using a variant of super-efficiency MODELs, the necessary and sufficient conditions for a DMU to be an anchor DMU are provided via some theorems. To illustrate the applicability of the proposed MODEL, some numerical examples are finally given.

Abstract: 

Comparing the performance of a set of activities or organizations under uncertainty environment has been performed by means of Fuzzy Data Envelopment Analysis (FDEA) since the traditional DEA MODELs require accurate and precise performance data. As regards a method for dealing with uncertainty environment, many researchers have introduced DEA MODELs in fuzzy environment. Some of these MODELs are solved by transforming fuzzy MODELs into their crisp counterparts. In this paper applying a fuzzy metric and a ranking function, obtained from it, the multiplier fuzzy CCR MODEL converts to its crisp counterpart. Solving this MODEL yields the optimal solution of fuzzy multiplier MODEL. Moreover, in the following some properties and theorems about mentioned enveloping and multiplier MODELs have been proved.

Abstract: 

In order to improve the performance of inefficient decision-making units (DMU), it is important to find an efficient target. This target determines the amount of changes in inputs and outputs; by applying these changes, efficiency is achieved. The usual MODELs in DEA always considered the problem of improving inefficient DMU and in this regard, they present a target as an efficient DMU. But in action, for some DMUs achieving that target in one step is difficult and even impossible. For this reason, finding intermediate target is very important. In this way, instead of an inefficient DMU becoming efficient in one step, this work is done in several steps and in this case the improvement is obtained gradually. In this paper, the efficiency of DMUs is evaluated using the CCR MODEL, and then a sequence of intermediate targets is provided for each inefficient DMU. Moving in this direction will reduce the inefficiency of these DMUs.

Abstract: 

This study examine the methods of window data envelopment analysis , future time driven analysis and past time driven analysis for performance measurment and for analysis the financial statements of 100 listed firms in Tehran securities exchange during 2006-2011 . The results show these methods can analysis the several financial ratios despite antonym signs simultaneously and considering time element, it presents useful informations about variations process. The pastime driven analysis is one of data envelopment analysis MODELs that present in this study. also paired T- test is used for test the hypothesis. The results show there are meaningful difference between results of analysis.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Performance measurement, programming and goal setting for performance improvement are needed for organizations to improve their performance. Despite advancement in performance measurement systems, many organizations still emphasize on old MODELs.Methods: This paper analyzes the efficiency of Yazd governmental hospitals by using DEA MODEL from 2004 to 2006. The inputs in DEA MODEL are 3 variables including number of physician, number of health personnel and number of beds. The outputs in DEA MODEL are also 3 variables; number of in-patients, number of out-patients and number of bed days.Results: This paper results suggest that hospitals in Ardakan, Maybod, Khatam and Tabas Counties and only Afshar hospital in Yazd city are efficient. Inefficient hospitals include Savaneh Sookhtegi hospital of Yazd city and the hospital in Abarkooh County. Also, this paper determined the input and output targets of efficient and inefficient hospitals. For example, hospital in Taft County is efficient when number of inpatient increases to 54494, number of outpatients increases to 5225 and number of bed days increases to 21009 by output orientation MODEL.Conclusion: Manager of hospitals can measure efficiency of hospital sections by using DEA MODELs and plan for efficiency improvement, respectively.

Abstract: 

Background and Objectives: Immune abnormalities are the fourth leading cause of death in thalassemia major patients. These patients are affected by stimulating chronic immunosuppression and immune deficiency following repeated blood transfusions and iron overload. Considering the role of chemokine network in immunosuppression, we examined the role of CCL-5 chemokine and its receptor CCR-5 in β-Thalassemia major patients. Materials and Methods: In the present case/control study, 45 β-thalassemia patients having referred to Kerman Special Health Center and 45 healthy subjects as controls participated. For the expression of CCR-5 and CCL5 receptor expression, flow cytometry and ELISA were used, respectively. After the tests, T-test and SPSS software version 22 were used for analysis and p < 0. 05 was considered as a significant difference. Results: Our results indicated that both CCR5 and CCL-5 were induced in β-thalassemia patients compared to the control (p < 0. 05). Conclusions: This study showed the increase of CCL5/CCR5-receptor chemokine-centered axis in patients with thalassemia major compared with healthy subjects and similarly the very increase in patients with spleen compared with those without. Due to the fact that a study on this chemokine network has not been done so far, it is necessary to repeat this study with more samples and to carefully examine the role of the spleen.
